You have reached the Federal Emergency Management Agency, please continue to hold and an operator will be with you sometime next summer

Heavy-duty fighter practice this evening.

Sir Keegan: Remember to not place your shield too far out, or your inner thigh is open

Baby Knight: Oh dont worry, Duke Michael has impressed that upon my memory

The head coach at the Air Force Academy is in hot water after making the statement that:

``They (the other team) had a lot more Afro-American players than we did and they ran a lot faster than we did.''

``It just seems to me to be that way,'' he said. ``Afro-American kids can run very well. That doesn't mean that Caucasian kids and other descents can't run, but it's very obvious to me that they run extremely well.''

Poor judgment? Maybe, but I cant see how this remark is worth of reprimand. To be politically correct he should have said, They were faster than we were and left it at that. However, if he just watched a football game where black athletes out ran his white athletes, why is he wrong for saying so.

Overall racial supremacy is nonsense; specific ethnic superiorities are a manifold reality.

Who is this insulting to? If you look at the world record holders in track and field, you wont find too many white people at the top, in fact you wont find any. Athletes of African decent absolutely dominate the world records in track and field. Also, there are ethnic differences amongst African athletes; (West Africa tends to produce sprinters, east Africa distance runners,) but regardless they are still faster than athletes of European or Asian descent.

It is a stereotype to say that black people are faster than white people, but only because such a broad statement is always incorrect. However if you look at the top athletes in professional sports, especially sports and positions that require speed, you will find that white athletes are in the minority.

Overall racial supremacy is nonsense; specific ethnic superiorities are a manifold reality.

So what?

This is a nice easy topic to look at because it is a simple matter of who crosses the finish line first. There is no cultural bias to be considered, not social economic influences to weigh one side down. Running is the most basic of sports, and who is faster is probably the most popular spot in the world.

People are different, people have strengths and weakness, why is this a big deal. If that coach were to state, Men are faster than women he would receive just as much flack, but again though he is painting with too broad a brush he is not really incorrect.

Again looking at the fastest runners in the world will bear out the evidence. The current world record holders (both black people) are:

10.49 Florence Griffith-Joyner Womens 100 meter world record Holder*
9.77 Asafa Powell Mens 100 meter World Record

Now lets be clear here. Flo Joyner is a faster runner than any man Ive ever met, and she is a tremendous athlete, but the guys are still faster. If .72 seconds doesnt seem like a lot, you dont watch much track and field. If she were listed in the mens records she would come in 22nd.

(*it is widely believed that her incredible improvement from 87-88 was chemically enhanced and Evelyn Ashfords 10.76 might be a more realistic mark)

Again I say so what?

I have no problem with these things, maybe its because Im a slow white man and it really doesnt affect me, but I just dont care about race in the same way most people do. I like facts and statistics.

This only becomes an issue when people get upset for no reason. Im not rooting for either side here. Facts are facts, and if they were different, if white women were faster than anybody else I would have no problem with that either.
